He's led several teams in the delivery of complex systems, and has instituted numerous methodologies to speed development times. Troy has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from MSU, an MS in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a System Design and Management Graduate Certificate from MIT.

VOLUNTEER and Community Engagement


SSI staff serve in local community and international leadership roles aligned with our expertise and passions.  Our involvement includes time and investment into a broad range of non-profit missions. Internationally, the firm supports fulfillment of a leadership role within the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) directed to help accelerate the transformation of System Engineering to a model based discipline. SSI staff support the entrepreneurship, innovation, and the acceleration of high-tech companies via the Oakland University Business Incubator board.  Egagements also include Birmingham Covington School recognized for its strength in STEM and its interdisciplinary curriculum themes in systems, patterns, independence, interdependence, individuality, and diversity.  Serving on a local library support board and volunteering in local public and private schools as a representative engaged with Building Better Families through Action (BBFA).

Greater than twenty years of experience in software development and systems architecture in aerospace and defense, encompassing space, land, and sea applications. Mark holds a OCSMP Model Builder Advanced certification in SysML, and is a Design for Six Sigma Master Black Belt. He received his BS from University of California, Santa Barbara, and Masters in Computer Science from Cornell, focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.​

Over twenty years of experience in Systems Engineering in the Automotive and Defense sectors. Mike has provided expertise and thought leadership to solve complex problems in the areas of vehicle development, systems modeling, trades analysis, integration, and program management. Mike received an Engineers Degree and an MS in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Southern California and a BS ME at the University of the Philippines.​

Ryan received a Bachelors of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Wayne State University and is slated to complete his Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering in May 2019.
